The Femtika Laser Nanofactory SLE model is a femtosecond laser subtractive manufacturing system specialized in fabricating three-dimensional microstructures within transparent, brittle materials, particularly glass. It primarily employs a process that combines femtosecond laser‑induced modification with chemical etching, enabling high‑precision 3D patterning of materials such as fused silica and borosilicate glass.

Femtosecond lasers are highly versatile tools that can be employed in a wide range of microfabrication processes. Each process has specific requirements regarding the laser, beam delivery, and material properties. Our laser nanofabrication workstation enables hybrid manufacturing, meaning that multiple processes can be supported by the same equipment. The two most commonly used techniques are multiphoton polymerization and selective glass etching, but these are far from the only ones! By precisely tuning its parameters, the same machine can perform an even broader array of processes.

The SU-8 3005 series of photoresists are negative-tone resists formulated with cyclopentanone as the solvent. In ultra-thick-film coating processes, they deliver excellent pattern stability and high resolution. Moreover, their film-thickness range is broader than that of any other commercially available photoresist: a single spin-coating step can produce films ranging from 0.5 to 300 μm in thickness, and multiple spin-coatings can be performed as needed to achieve even thicker films.

PI-AJ is an aerosol‑sprayable electronic‑media ink, formulated with polyimide as the precursor and diluted with a solvent, exhibiting excellent adhesion to glass and many other substrates.

PH1000 is an aqueous PEDOT/PSS dispersion, a blue‑colored liquid. It excels in the field of conductive chemistry and finds applications in next‑generation flexible displays, high‑performance electrolytic capacitors, antistatic and conductive protective and shielding layers, as well as OLEDs, OPVs, and printed electronics—just a few among its many potential uses. It can be processed via screen printing, inkjet printing, gravure printing, slot‑die coating, spray coating, dip coating, and spin coating.
